Import templates

Your business,in from a spreadsheet

Six templates bring an existing business in: clients, their contacts, your team, projects, milestones and tasks. You see what will be added, overwritten or skipped before anything is written, and one click undoes an import.

[ 02 ] How an import runs

Nothing is written until you have seen it

  1. 01

    Download the template

From Settings, Import. It comes with your workspace's own valid values, so it is never full of things it would reject.

  2. 02

    Map your columns

Upload your file; columns are matched by name and you correct the rest.

  3. 03

    Preview

Every row marked as added, overwritten or skipped, with the reason.

  4. 04

    Commit, or undo

Each import is kept in a history and can be rolled back in one click.

[ 03 ] Questions

Before you import

Do you do it for us?
During onboarding we import with you, so the first run is one we have checked together.
Who can import?
People with the data import permission, normally owners and admins. It is on every plan.
Is there a gallery of project templates?
Not yet. Recurring tasks cover repeating work, and an import can set up a standard project with its milestones and tasks in one go.
