People, teams and workload

Who does what, and who has room

The people side that project tools skip, without becoming an HR system: a directory with managers, departments and teams, each person's open work and committed hours, and leave on the same calendar as the deadlines.

[ 01 ] How it works

From directory to the next assignment

  1. 01

    Add your people

Invite them, or import employees from a spreadsheet with their role, manager, department and status.

  2. 02

    Shape the organization

Departments and teams with their own pages; the org chart draws itself from who reports to whom.

  3. 03

    Watch the load

Active, overdue and due-soon work per person, heaviest first, for each team and department.

  4. 04

    Plan ahead

Estimates against committed hours show who is free next week and in three weeks.

What each part does

  • Employee directory

Roles, managers, departments, teams and status, with each person's work on their own page.

  • Org chart

Built from the reporting lines in the directory, so it is never a separate drawing to keep up to date.

  • Departments and teams

Each with its dashboard and workload view, for the person who runs it.

  • Workload

Open work per person, so the next task goes to somebody who can take it.

  • Forward capacity

Task estimates against each person's committed hours per week. On plans with time tracking.

  • Leave

Requests and approvals routed to the person's manager, and who is away shown on the calendar.

  • Roles

Owner, admin, manager, team lead, employee and client, each deciding which pages and actions a person has, enforced by the API.

  • Leavers

Deactivate a person and access stops immediately; their seat frees up and their work stays with their name on it.

[ 04 ] Questions

Asked before buying

Is this an HR system?
No. There is no payroll, attendance, recruitment or appraisal, on purpose. The directory exists because projects and tasks need to know who people are and who they report to.
Who can approve leave?
The person's manager in the directory. When no manager is set, it goes to all managers, the same rule timesheet sign-off follows.
