Six steps, one record
The same flow every client goes through, and where each step lives in the product.

A lead is won
The CRM pipeline runs New, Qualified, Proposal, Negotiation, Won. Won converts the lead into a client in one step.

The project is planned
Milestones, tasks, owners and due dates; dependencies so blocked work says so.

The team does the work
My Tasks for each person, a board for the project, a calendar for everyone, workload for the managers.

Hours are logged
Timers or entries against the task, a week submitted for sign-off, rates applied for whoever may see them.

The client approves
A client-visible deliverable goes to the client portal; their decision closes the task and is kept on record.

The numbers are there
Reports for the project, the client, the team and each person; utilisation and retainer burn-down from the same hours.

What Work is not
Not an HR system: there is no payroll, attendance, recruitment or appraisal. Not a developer issue tracker: there are no sprints, story points or code integrations. Not an accounting package: invoicing lives in Varynt Invoice.
Saying so plainly is how the parts that are here stay coherent.
